Vintage Wedding Dress Inspiration – Dior

When it comes to vintage wedding dress inspiration, nothing compares to the timeless elegance of Dior gowns. Christian Dior’s label started in the late 40s and reached the peak of its popularity in the 50s.   Dior completely changed women’s fashions in the 40s and 50s, introducing the “New Look” which featured designs with fitted waistlines and full skirts.  This design is flattering on every shape as gives a narrowing effect on the waist in contrast to the full skirt.  Many of Dior’s designs have remained popular inspiration for contemporary women’s fashion and very much so in bridal gown fashion.

Not all of the designs below are bridal gowns, but the styling is simply breathtaking and with a talented bridal designer could very easily be created in bridal fabrics and colours.
