Rustic inspired weddings are a very popular choice among couples planning a vintage wedding and rightly so. There is something so rich and warm about two families coming together in a rustic barn or country setting to celebrate the marriage of their loved ones. Styling for rustic weddings can range from very low key decorations through to quite elaborate details providing contrast to the country setting. It can often be easy to find lovely venues that offer a sprawling landscape for an outdoor country wedding, however it can be that little bit more difficult to find a venue that features a barn or similar structure to accommodate an indoor reception for those wanting something a bit more rustic yet indoors. Venues that feature both make a wonderful choice as couples have the option of having a ceremony in the great outdoors followed with a reception inside the barn or the entire ceremony and reception could take place indoors. To make a barn reception really shine, thought must be put into lighting and as you can see even from the images below some simple lighting can add an extra level of charm.
As we have couples reading our blog from all over Australia we’ll be sharing some of our rustic wedding venues throughout Australia over the coming months and to start things off I’ve put together some of my favourite barn or rustic wedding venues in the Newcastle and Hunter Valley area. If you love the look of any of these venues simply click on the link below to find out more and contact them directly for availability.
