This retro diner wedding shoot was all about colour and fun. The creative team led by Chris Gray from Chris Gray Photomedia wanted to take the ‘serious’ out of a wedding day and celebrate the old-school romance of the 50’s & 60’s. He shares, “We started with the amazing location and styled everything from there (including roller skates!), to create this sweet elopement-style look.” Chris worked with a team of Sydney based wedding creatives to bring it all to life, allowing each artist to interpret the theme creatively.
I love the simplicity behind this style of wedding, showcasing a fun and less expensive option for vintage inspired weddings. Instead of a traditional veil the bride wore a bright red scarf in her hair that pops with her red lipstick. Her cute all over lace wedding dress is a shorter knee length which is so lovely and comfortable to wear all day long. The grooms pale blue suit is made from a comfortable fabric and instead of a starched button up shirt underneath he wore a plain t-shirt.
