“Inspired by the restored historic landmarks of the 106 year old Ruth Memorial Chapel and The Schoolhouse at Mainstreet we wanted to capture an authentic boho chic design that is organic, sentimental and heart warming. The idea behind this shoot was to show couples that they can capture an elegant feeling with a beautiful relaxed vibe by utilizing textures and layered elements. A look that is so effortless it could work for
an intimate elopement or a gathering of 70 of your closest friends and family.
Wanting to work with the bright spaces and warm wood tones of the chapel and schoolhouse we played with geometric patterns and muted colors to create a warm inviting bohemian wedding. Our color palette was the inspiration. We decided to go with slate blue, mustard yellow, and shades of grey and cream. The idea being that this color palette could stand on its own and work in any season. We pulled in textures from wood, metal, leather, and woven fabric elements to ground the design and give it more of an earthy feeling. The end goal was to create a relaxed laid back vibe while being bright, fresh and welcoming.” ~ MAG Events
“The chapel is beautifully traditional, so to make it more boho we welcomed guests with a relaxed seating area up near the ceremony. Leather and woven puffs and patterned rugs encouraged a more intimate experience for guests. A hand woven eight foot macrame floated in the ceremony space, draped with soft greens, tufts of cotton and tiny yellow blooms to frame the couple as they said their vows.”
“Our couple captured the charming boho vibe with their relaxed and simple wedding attire. The bride’s golden velvet wrap dress and soft grey kitten heels were effortless and romantic. The simplicity of her look allowed for her beautiful hand made jewelry to be a highlight. Her earrings, necklace and ring all had pressed Colorado wild flowers in them. Her soft pulled back bridal hair and natural make up kept her wedding look light and fresh. Our groom was handsome in his soft linen shirt, polka dot bow tie, and grey slacks. His handmade cotton tuft boutonniere paired beautifully with the bride’s hand picked greens and yellow bloom bouquet.”
“Our goal with the sweetheart table was to create a visceral experience. We wanted you to feel excited as you came to take your seat. Greeted by smokey and amber glass, gorgeous carved plates atop of blue grey stoneware, a hand carved wood table with just a dash of lace. Soft tealights flickered in copper holders and our patterned concrete pots held beautiful arrangements of seeded eucalyptus, cotton tufts, billy balls and tiny yellow blooms. Everything on this table made you want to touch it!”
“The Schoolhouse at Mainstreet has multiple rooms, so we decided to advantage and designed a guest lounge filed with eclectic furniture still playing with our color pallet and textures. A soft golden velvet seat, a creamy leather chair, a gathering of stools all rest atop a beautiful cow hide and patterned rug. Being a historic school house building, the original chalk boards still hang on the walls, so we had our talented calligrapher add a message, “And so the adventure begins”. Who wouldn’t want to sit in this bright, beautiful room and relax with friends?
We continued our theme throughout our details. From the hand stitched leather envelopes and geometric pattern on the stationery, menus and place cards to the simple and elegant cake in soft grey with touches of macrame and edible flowers. Every layered detail helped to capture the bright organic feel of this laid back wedding.”
“We had a fantastic chef prepare a meal that truly captures all that a Colorado farm to table wedding should be. Heirloom tomato and herb salad, cast iron roasted potatoes and farmers market veggies, fig and gorgonzola crostini and peppercorn crusted beef tenderloin. Gorgeous platted perfection that would surely leave your guests satisfied.”
