Photo Op!

So 2013 brides, are you starting to get excited?? Perhaps you have a little cake tasting one weekend and a dress fitting the next? Perhaps a meet-and-greet with your celebrant or a weekend spent registering for gifts? The jitters of excitement are increasing with every wedding planning perk that comes your way! The team at The Vintage and Handmade Bride are huge fans of anything that makes that thrilling feeling last and that’s why we are frenzied to share our latest idea with you!

At The Vintage and Handmade Bride headquarters we put our heads together to come up with the perfect token to help you and your beau honour this time. Best of all; it’s fun, it’s exciting, it’s befitting no matter your personal style and makes for a fabulous present to boot! And what’s involved, we hear you ask, in organising this charming keepsake… nothing but your already-organised, super-sensational photographer and hair and make-up artist.

As a soon-to-be bride you will most likely have one (or maybe even two) hair and make-up trials booked prior to your big day. This gives you the opportunity to try out different styles, colours and products as well as experiment with how well they fair in different lighting and over a number of hours.  You will spend anywhere up to half a day being primed, contoured, blow-dried and pinned to achieve your ideal look. So what better time than to tee up a mini shoot with your wedding day photographer? We say don’t waste a perfectly good photo op!

Not only will you be looking super sultry (or romantic, or elegant, or edgy- whichever your preference) but you will also be brimming with excitement and trust us when we say, you will want to capture that glow! Pack a cute dress, some killer heels and head off for a solo glamour-shoot. Not only will this give you the perfect opportunity to test out how your makeup looks when photographed (often a danger missed in the planning process and not noticed until the wedding photos arrive!) but also to get a taste for your photographer’s  talents.

Logistical pro’s aside however; we think this is the perfect gift idea for your groom! You will be able to surprise them with some stunning pics of yourself all glammed up and looking breathtaking. You could stage the shoot where you had your first date, where you became engaged or somewhere else of sentimental value. It’s a great way to take advantage of the wedding planning process. TVHB want you to enjoy the journey as much as we know you will the destination.
