Hailey & Quinten’s rustic wedding took place at The Homestead at Old Potato Road. This is a wedding venue is nestled in a gorgeous countryside landscape a few hours outside of Austin, Texas.
Photographer Nikk Nguyen recalls, “The atmosphere of this event was ideal for a wedding photographer like myself; super relaxed and easy going. Those are definitely the times when I do my best work! This rustic, Texas wedding had a strong sense of closeness you could feel throughout the entire day which only reinforced the familial focus that was so beautifully set up by both Hailey and Quinten. In fact, the entire day had a strong intimate theme to it because, besides the caterer, photographer, and coordinator, everything else was done by family members.”
I just adore the simple elegance of their wedding day and I’m a huge fan of the dark brown wool suits. They are sheer vintage perfection! The bride was absolutely stunning in her fitted lace dress which featured a flounce style skirt covered in soft polka dots which swooshed as she walked. Her delicate birdcage veil and soft baby’s breath flowers nestled in her hair complemented the old world vintage look perfectly.
The barn style venue was a wonderfully unique space. Behind the bridal table was a feature “wall” of old glass windows which were then adorned with romantic candles. The entire space has a wonderfully airy feeling with no walls around the sides to open the room up to the outdoors.
Another favourite element of mine at Hailey & Quinten’s wedding was their delicious cake table. Not just one but three delicious two tiered cakes were served to guests, all decorated to suit the rustic style of their wedding day.
