It’s only natural that when we meet the man of our dreams (or even before hand if you love weddings as much as I do!!) that we start daydreaming about our perfect gown, what the theme of our wedding will be, who our bridesmaids will be, even the flavour of our cake. But really the most important part of the day is the ceremony, I mean that’s the reason for the whole shin dig!! We often get wrapped up in all of the other details and it always astounds me how many people say to me “oh I don’t really care who marries us, that isnt important” as they peruse their designer dress catalogues and search for the ultimate Tiffany chairs.
Now call me an old lady but I really feel that a fantastic celebrant is super important. This is the person who will walk you through the most important words you will ever utter, they will be the first face of congratulations and often they are a helping hand through all of the legal mumbo jumbo. Shouldn’t this person fit the rest of your special day? I think so!! This is exactly why we love to have our gorgeous marriage celebrants showcasing themselves at our wedding fairs. We are lucky enough to have Debbie Scott, Dusk to Dawn Celebrant at our upcoming fair and she simply can’t wait to meet you all!
Can you tell us a bit about being a celebrant?
There are several things required by law to be included in a wedding ceremony. As your celebrant , I must state I am legally able to marry you. I must ensure your vows are carried out properly, declare that you are husband and wife and finalise all paperwork. As a celebrant my mission is to deliver you a professional service in which you will have a say on your special day. As your celebrant, I will assist you to design a ceremony that meets your every expectation. I encourage my clients to express their inspirations and ideas so I can provide a beautiful ceremony within the civil ceremony requirements, creating a special and seamless experience for you, your family and friends to enjoy and remember forever.
Where are you based and what areas do you service?
I am based in Kenmore Brisbane Qld and I service all areas of Brisbane, Ipswich, Marburg, Minden, Gold Coas,t Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba.
What advice do you have for couples choosing their celebrant?
Always request and obligation free meeting with any celebrant you may be considering to conduct your wedding ceremony as I think it is very important to have a good repour with the celebrant you choose. Ask other family or friends if they have had a celebrant how their experience was with that particular celebrant. Remember your wedding ceremony the pinnacle of your special day.
How early should couples book with you?
As soon as they can.
