Finding unique and creating seating for weddings can be a bit of a challenge. Sure you can use those boring old white stackable chairs which are readily available from generic hire places, but these never add character and style to an event. This is exactly why I just love the fantastic pieces created by Brisbane based business Party Culture. Using milk crates and repurposed timber pallets they design and make very fun seating and table pieces. To top it all off they also use one of my favourite elements at the moment – artificial lawn! Their pieces can be used in a variety of settings and best of all – if you have a particular style in mind they can even create custom pieces for you to match your theme! In addition to their groovy seating and repurposed timber tables I just love their unique bars available for hire.
Tell us a bit about Party Culture and what you offer
We offer fun furniture for your home, party or event. Our team brings together skills of construction and design and a love of fun, relaxed events.
We specialise in the hire of legitimately sourced milk crate seating (engineer approved safe work load), pallet seating, recycled wood seating, fire pits, tables + bars or we can custom make your every desire.
All our furniture is for hire or purchase.
Your events furniture is so unique and fun, we would love to how you came to launch Party Culture!
Stephen was on holiday in New Zealand and kept coming across amazing fire pits and wanted to create fire pits for hire. Once he came home and was sitting at the fire pit he realised he needed some seats and it grew from there. I came on board to build the branding and website and we have not looked back.
Really unique hire piece are really growing in popularity, can you tell us a little bit about the items that you offer and what options couples have to include such great pieces at their wedding?
We offer custom packages to suit individual needs. Whilst known for our crate and pallet seating we also have serving bars and stools as well as a-frames and decorator boxes. We have photos on our site that show how these can all be used as a package but of course we can meet to discuss what we think will work for your wedding.
Where are you located and what area do you service?
We have a warehouse at Acacia Ridge where we keep the stock but we service Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba areas.
When couples hire your pieces do you offer a delivery service? And do you also offer a styling service or is it more of a DIY option when it comes to hiring?
We offer delivery and pick up at times to suit you. We are happy to arrange our furniture and set it up ready to use however for more professional styling we would recommend Leisa at Quirky Comforts.
What inspires you when it comes to designing your product range?
We started the company to help people host relaxed and fun events. Any new pieces we come up with now need to have a practical and fun feeling about them. We want people to be excited to use our items.
For those who love your pieces how can they purchase them or hire them? Do you have a studio or warehouse for those who would like to see your pieces in person first?
Our website is a fully functioning shop however you can always contact us for custom packages and we will send you a personalised quote. We are also happy to meet you at our warehouse to discuss the range and hand pick items to suit.
Do you take custom orders?
We sure do! We love creating custom pieces for purchase.
What advice do you have for brides when they are working out their wedding design style when it comes to props and styling?
I believe that if you surround yourself by items you love, even if some things are a bit off style, that will bring you joy and reflect a true sense of yourself. There are quirky things that make us all unique so these should be embraced.
When you’re not creating awesome pieces for weddings what do you love to spend your time doing?
Both Stephen and I have other businesses so mostly we work! Stephen and his fiancé are expecting his first born this month so I expect he will be extra busy. Usually though we are both outdoor types and we love camping and of course backyard parties!
